About Us, and Our Global Finds

We’re Bruce and Christine — a (relatively!) young, recently retired couple from Australia with over 40 years of retail experience.

 

After decades in the retail industry, we stepped away from traditional business life to follow our dream of travelling the world. Along the way, we discovered something unexpected — an incredible range of artisan giftware, handcrafted home décor, soft furnishings, unique jewellery and small furniture pieces that simply weren’t available back home.

We couldn’t fit them all in our luggage — and we couldn’t find anything like them in Australia.

So we created Our Global Finds — an Australian online gift shop dedicated to sourcing and sharing unique global homewares and artisan products from around the world

With four decades in retail, we understand quality, value and what makes a product truly special. We know how to recognise genuine craftsmanship and we carefully select every piece in our collection.

Our early travels through Sri Lanka and Thailand, across Turkey and Greece, and throughout France, the United Kingdom, Albania, Montenegro and Sardinia have shaped our first collections. In local markets, small workshops and family-run studios, we discovered artisan homewares and handcrafted décor that reflect the culture and character of each region.
